Golden Pillars as Guidelines
These will be the three pillars which I will follow throughout my blog. Not necessarily in the exact order, but the scope is defined below.
Each segment will get its special treatment.
- Econ + metrics
- Maths
- Programming
By finishing Master program in Economics (University of Novi Sad), I am quite familiar with the topic of Econometrics. Having had many subjects on the topic of statistics and econometrics during my studies, I am not starting from scratch. Nevertheless, a course called Econometrics by Mark Thoma (University of Oregon) will be helpful to catch up with all the details related to data analysis, covering analysis of cross-sectional data, time series and panel data. Furthermore, Econometrics Academy by Eni Katchova (The Ohio State University) is where I go back often, since it's full of great video tutorials.
As for the second pillar of data and programming logic related knowledge, here are the reference courses of Linear Algebra by Gilbert Strang (Massachusetts Institute of Technology).
Some posts already published are related to programming skills, such as SQL, HTML and CSS. Having that in mind, the focus will be on data analysis programming skills - Python and R.
